This map was my final project for this class and it consisted of a reference map of the Caribbean.
I chose this because I really enjoy reference mapping and this place in particular would be especially challenging with all the labeling and small islands.
I got the layers from Natural Earth including three different bathymetry levels, islands, countries, and oceans.
I highlighted the main islands and nations of the region being mapped leaving South America grayed out. I then started the long process of different texts, colors, and labeling in Adobe Illustrator.
